Spectators: 195 (Terracing: 147, Seating: 45, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Kyle Thake got the match started through his kick off. Giorgio Caruana came free with the goalkeeper in the 3rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Alvaro Rotili could save by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tony De Marco during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 4 played minutes Floriana Celtics got a freekick which was hit by Tony De Marco. In the 7th minute, Giorgio Caruana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alvaro Rotili was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Alexander Bottone had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mats Sangolt. Floriana Celtics's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexander Bottone was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Bottone in the 16th minute of play forced Floriana Celtics's goalkeeper Mats Sangolt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Floriana Celtics's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Bottone came free, but Mats Sangolt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 19 in the game by Vihren Sirenyakov from a close distance when the talented Alvaro Rotili managed to make a qualified save. A.S. Udinese's players were relieved. 23 minutes into the match, Samuel Lentini dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alvaro Rotili, 2-1. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Floriana Celtics's goalkeeper Mats Sangolt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alexander Bottone took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mats Sangolt. Mats Sangolt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Mats Sangolt came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by A.S. Udinese's Alexander Bottone. But to his dismay, Alexander Bottone quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Mats Sangolt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Bottone in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Floriana Celtics's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dino Pozzoli was slow to take the kick. During this time A.S. Udinese's players had a chance to rest. In the 37th minute Alexander Bottone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mats Sangolt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mats Sangolt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Bottone, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Alexander Bottone took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mats Sangolt. Mats Sangolt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexander Bottone to make the kick off. When A.S. Udinese's Alexander Bottone in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Alexander Bottone took a quick shot and it went in 2-5 without a chance for Mats Sangolt to make any attempt to save it. With an all-out effort, A.S. Udinese's Mats Sangolt threw himself towards the right post 73 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cristiano Paolucci, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Mats Sangolt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Bottone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vihren Sirenyakov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Rotili having to interfere. A.S. Udinese made a substitution. Bruno Maranzano replaced Alexander Damiani. Mats Sangolt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberigo Di Franco in the 82nd minute of the match. Mats Sangolt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexander Bottone in the 87th minute. In the 89th match minute, A.S. Udinese was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Clemente to maneuver through the defense. Alvaro Rotili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Ellis in the 90th minute of the match. Floriana Celtics's Mats Sangolt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Bottone in the 93rd minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. A.S. Udinese had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
