Spectators: 195 (Terracing: 147, Seating: 45, VIP seats: 3) Saco FC's Antonio Alzamendi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vihren Sirenyakov scored 1-0 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Phillip Glerum, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Phillip Glerum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyle Thake in the 9th minute of play. Saco FC's Phillip Glerum proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Saco FC from getting a goal against them. In the 23rd minute of the match Saco FC got a corner. Floriana Celtics's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Chris Dhaussy ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 25 minutes, Vihren Sirenyakov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Floriana Celtics and the Saco FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vihren Sirenyakov hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Saco FC's Phillip Glerum got control of the ball when Vihren Sirenyakov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Phillip Glerum made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vihren Sirenyakov in the 28th minute. Phillip Glerum made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Giorgio Caruana sent off a good shot on target. Floriana Celtics were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Saco FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Godwin Montesin took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Giorgio Caruana got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Phillip Glerum quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 37th minute Samuel Lentini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phillip Glerum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denis Cordera kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Godwin Montesin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Phillip Glerum made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Floriana Celtics's Gabriel Vella got a free kick in the 44th minute. Adolfo Gipuzkoa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Giorgio Caruana hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kyle Thake stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mats Sangolt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter-Jan De Brouwer in the 51st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Thake in the 52nd minute of play forced Saco FC's goalkeeper Phillip Glerum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mats Sangolt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Alzamendi in the 58th minute. Saco FC's Phillip Glerum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giorgio Caruana in the 59th minute of play. Mats Sangolt made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Taus Feibert sent off a good shot on target. Floriana Celtics's Mats Sangolt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Floriana Celtics from getting a goal against them. Floriana Celtics's Mats Sangolt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Gipuzkoa in the 67th minute of play. Mats Sangolt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter-Jan De Brouwer in the 69th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Peter-Jan De Brouwer notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Floriana Celtics's Mats Sangolt. Mats Sangolt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Floriana Celtics made a substitution. Keith Cassar replaced Tony De Marco. Alex Testaferrata Viani scored 3-1 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Phillip Glerum, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mats Sangolt was a little too slow when Adolfo Gipuzkoa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 3-2. 90 minutes into the match, Saco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Testaferrata Viani came free, but Phillip Glerum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Testaferrata Viani in the 91st minute of play forced Saco FC's goalkeeper Phillip Glerum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saco FC's Phillip Glerum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Thake in the 93rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Floriana Celtics had won after a very even match.
